question for submiting movies to the internet

We bought a pinnacle studion moviemaker program this year and i put together a movie that i would like to upload to youtube or something on that sort. Ive tried that before but it always tells me that i have the wrong format and it wont save.

my question is what format does youtube take for movies. Is it avi, wmp, or other types, i cant figure it out.

i would really appreciate and information as i would like to have it posted.

what file are you outputting the movie at?

youtube should accept MPEG/AVI

its saving the movie as windows media player

yeah, i'd try it as a format that doesn't suck. Use MPEG.

when you output the movie there should be a tab and in that tab there should be a drop down menu on what format you want to use, I'm using pinnacle 11 and thats how it is for me....let me know if you got it figured out
