Question for Mccall area experts

Has anyone on here ever rode the area on this map called Devil's Ladder. I see this area from 95 everytime I drive it and it looks like great climbing and such. I assume you can unload up Smokey Boulder Road a ways and ride there, but just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the area. Thanks.

Yep, we ride this area on occasion. We call it Smokey Boulder though. That knob you see from the road is a tough ride. Lots of trees to smack into on the way down.

Plus NO grooming at all. And honestly lots of road riding so it gets rough.

Kind of what I figured. I am always looking for new places to try and since it is a bit shorter drive that is also a plus. On another note, have you ever ridden the 7-Devils area out of Riggins? Is it worth a look? Any one else have a thoughts about the Smokey Boulder area?
