question about ripped vent kits and Jaws twin pipes

I recently bought a 2005 M7 with a Jaws twin pipe set up and no fuel box since the 05 M7 apparently already ran a little fat. i dont know a lick about tuning sleds so am a little apprehensive about running the twins with such little no how. does anyone have an opinion on what i should do weather it be getting a fuel box or doing away with the twins entirely. also both vent kits are slightly ripped, and i was planning on patching them before the season because i imagine it wouldn't be in my best interest to get debris or snow on the clutch, does anyone have any idea how i should go about patching them? the rips aren't very large but they are there none the less.

i didnt think about removing the plug but ill double check and make sure it has been removed, i imagine the previous owner had it off. and i beleive it was run about 3000 miles with twins.
