question about oil res on cpc turbo

put the new oil res from Dale on a few weeks ago, sled runs great.

Question is, the oil looks like chocolate milk after a few rides, what would cause this?

Trying to figure out what I might have done wrong, and I keep forgetting to call those guys during the day!

I would suspect moisture since it probably does not get hot enough to boil off like in a car engine crankcase.

Yeah, water in the oil can cause it to turn milky. What kind of oil are you using?

Water in the turbo oil tank

I have also noticed a bit of discoloration in my turbo oil. Must be condensation in the oil tank, after shut down. I am using the AC APV injector oil.

I park my sled inside, but if sled was parked outside in freezing temps, could be problems. The water could freeze causing oil pump cavitation? Maybe not?

Ya I've noticed this a bit too... I guess it could come from the moisture in the air when changing temps... And doesn't really have anywhere to go even when it does get hot being a closed system...

I guess you've got to hope that it's not a bit of coolant making its way in there...

If you really were worried about it being coolant leaking into the oil, there should be some way you could do a low pressure pressure test on the turbo itself wouldn't there be?
