Question about my son's z120 arctic cat.

It appears it is time to put a new chain on. I purchased the new chain but am wondering if someone can tell me the easiest procedure to install it. It looks to me like the clutch and brake assembly must come off. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also what is the very best lubricant to use as it seems to dry out pretty rapidly. Some of the rollers where the links tie together I have found in the pan so am guessing it is probaly ready for replacement. Thanks again.

If it is the same as an XCR120 I usually just attach the old chain to the new chain and just pull it through. I leave the clutch and brake on and just fish the chain through behind them. Hope that helps.

try pj1 lubricant, it penetrates well and has good "tack" so it won't fly off and gum things up under the hood
