question about comunicators

it is usaly a buddy and i that go rideing and i was wondering what type of comunicators everone has used or uses. Im looking for something that goes in the helmet and that we can talk back and forth, and how far do most of them go for range, or are they manely made for trail riders and passangers?

If you want to pay, look at Autocom and Motocomm. My motorcycle buddies like them. Chatterbox has mixed reviews. I carry gmrs radios for emergencies, and scavenged some computer speakers for my helmet. Works ok for me, but I'd like to go Autocom for the intercom feature with my kid when I can afford it.
