Quantum Velocity M1000 Turbo Kit.

Looks like an OVS kit but the airbox/plenum has Quantum Velocity stamped on it. It is the TiAl external wastegate type.
Anyone have one of these kits?

Know how to get hold of the original builders - formerly of Red Deer AB?

Any instructions on how to operate the FastBurn EFI Controller?
Peto tube off the pipe and running back to a 2nd boost gauge - whats this for?
Should the IAT temp sensor be unhooked?
Clutching recommendations?

thanks for the help... just took this 2008 M1000 on trade, only 500 miles on it, want to make sure I have the scoop on this turbo kit before hitting the hills.

Hey jeff i have a opportunity to buy a kit you built from Red Deer power sports before you went off on your own. It was for a M7 and i was wondering if it would work on a 2009 m8. The guys at red deer dont seem to know alot about it so any info you could provide me with would be great. thanks

It will not work. That was one of the first twostroke kits I played with. The turbo is too small, the airbox is a very poor design and the charge tubes are too small. the fuel controller that was with it was not tuned for the kit, had no way to tune it. If you like playing around and rebuilding motors, then that kit is for you. Wish I could say my first attempt was perfect, but alas I was still just figuring out twostroke turbos when I built that setup. that was way back in 2005.
