Quality of 509 Aviator goggles

I am considering buying 509 Aviator goggles and would like some info. What do you like or dislike about them?, Do they fog up really bad?, are they poor or good quality? Thanks for any info.

Here is my take. Their view compared to other goggles is far superior. I have only used them on one really snowy day and they fogged. I need to have another really snowy day to really gauge weather that was the goggle or the fact that I was sweating a ton that day from digging out. On sunny and overcast days they do not fog at all. When riding behind somebody, especially on the trail I get a little snow dust coming into the goggle. Overall the goggle is good and I like the goggle. Like I said I need another "wet" day to see about the fogging issue, but I try to avoid riding on those days.

They sound like they're about as good as my Scott 89 XI turbo goggles only I would have a wider field of view and more lens options. Thanks for the info it helped alot.

Had mine out for a few rides already and love em! The bronze mirror lens is great in almost all conditions! make sure you take em off when you start diggin and they'll never fog up

Very best goggles I have ever owned....period!!! I have owned and worn everything I can think of....Scott, Smith, Spy, Oakley....yada..yada! These are the clear winners in every facet....in my book!

does anyone have these along with the Klim F4 helmet?....finding goggles to fit this helmet is not fun

I use them with the F4 klim helmet..........fit great. If you use the nose piece they have to be tilted....but I install them and take the helmet off with the goggs in 90% of the time.

They are amazing goggles and finally a true "quick change" on the lens. So simple "even a caveman could do it".......lol. Used the blue lens today and it was stellar in bright sunshine.
Way to go 509.......they are a sledder gogg for sure.

abviously its all personal preferance. IMO, they are far from being the best goggle out their. they look good, but mine fog up alot more then my scott xi, and my 2 pairs of spys have a much higher quality lens. half of the foam came unglued on my 509s but they fit nice and look good, but i'd say the xi's are my favorite.

What lenses are you guys using? I'm really thinking about getting a pair of these goggles. I would like to get the chrome finish lens but I heard that the chrome makes the tint darker?
