Quality Hotels / Good Restaurants

I'm a lost swede looking for Chef jobs in Revelstoke and around revelstoke, Have found a few decent looking places but noone seems to be interested in sharing what kind of food they are serving.

Anyone that has good knowledge of good hotels or restaurants in the Revelstoke area. Preferebly someone thats acctually in the buisness

My plan is to hopefully move over to Canada summer '09 and hopefully stay for a full year. Sledding is the biggest reson I want to come over but I wont take a ****ty job just to come sledding.

You should start a restaurant in Revy if you are that good of a cook. Zala's is good food, but not THAT great. Hire some hot waitresses and you would clean up. Especially with the ski hill coming to town.

Good call there...
Set up shop around the Regent!

Come to Valemount instead. We can get you a job. A couple of good places is the Loose moose or at the Caribou lodge. Talk to us Mr Swede.

Hello!

What kind of places do you have there? Steakhouse, Fine Dining?! To be honest the work is more important than money and stuff like that, If i get a job where I feel that I can learn and develope my skills that's worth a lot more. Good snowmobile conditions?

Tell me something about Valemount as a city/town, Pitch it to me! =)

I don't doubt that I could run my own shop since my job right now is souschef (Just below headchef) but am only 21 so it feels like I should do a few more "dog-years" and maybe live in Canada for a year or so just to get a better understanding of food culture and stuff.

REDNYTRO:

Don't think that Whistler is something for me, to many tourists, To exploited for my taste.

Room 112 at the Regent or The Hillcrest would probably be closer to what your looking for. Some of the Cat or Heli skiing lodges in BC would offer fine dining as well, probably be seasonal though. I wouldn't doubt more will pop up as the ski hill progresses, maybe at the ski hill?

Whisler has sledding, and Banff/Lake Louise are close to Golden snowmobiling, probably more high end dining and $$$ there. As well would have more job selection.

Good Luck:D

Now where talking, A restaurant that actually writes something about their food and seems to be proud of it. Why not work at the skihill, Big fan of skiing but sledding is more hardcore. Skiing is chillin when u got nothin else to do.

Have seen a few places near L Louise, Still at least 8-9 months to go before I need to make my big plan up.

Cheers Man!
