Quality 10" trailer tire brand?

I need to replace the tires on my trailer. The last set(4) was put on in March 2009 and probably only have 5000-6000 miles, 3-4 trips. So, the life of these tires was disappointing. The sidewalls are cracking on two, plenty of tread left. Trailer is shedded from April to December so have done the best I can in that aspect.

So, before I pony up for 4 more, I was hoping someone would know which ones to buy. Perhaps, they are all made in China now?? So, will just have to replace as a matter of preemptive maintenance??????

This is on an Eagle, 3 place open, tandem spread axle trailer.

Thanks for the replies.

Do not buy nanco they are bad tires they were most expensive but blew apart. I have had titan and marathon since with good results.

if the tire blows apart....thats to much weight for the air pressure in it..easy way to check tires..drive down the road at 45 mph for acouple miles, pull over and lay a hand on the tread..if its to hot to keep your hand on any tire..its going to blow...either need more air pressure, or less weight sitting on it..repeat at the fastest speed you will drive..if too hot..add air pressure, reduce weight or reduce speed until you can keep your hand on the tire....as for the weather cracking..was it sitting on dirt? that will cause dry rotting, overheating tires will also shorten their life(see above)...and cause cracking....I have had good results with titan and marathon as well.....

I know you asked about BRAND, but did you consider load range?

The most common LOAD RANGE is "C"

"E" s are available for only a few bux more, and carry significantly more weight.

E's also hold/recommend approx 30 psi more in tire pressure compared to the "C"s

I've seen the "E" s 20.5 x 8.0 x 10" mounted on a steel rim for $ 90-$ 95 each.

Hope this helps

That is exactly what I did on my old 2 place open trailer after having one of the stock tires blow after three trips.

Thanks guys. Been running 10 ply tires. Got rid of the 'C' range ones in 2009.

When we had an 2 place with the clamshell we used Carlisle brand load range D. I was always worried about the weight we carried but never had a blow-out >>>>.
