Wondering if anyone in Minnesota/Wisconsin has any interest in a trip from Superior, WI to Thunder Bay Ontario?
Me and a couple of buds did it a few years ago and had a blast.
It is about 200 miles one way.
We typically stop in Grand Portage and stay in a hotel, then proceed up to Thunder bay...
You will need a gas can strapped on the back (Longest gas stop is about 65 miles).
you will need a light full body wet suit, gloves and booties......... The water gets as cold as 45 degrees in some spots, so it is a safety thing.
This will be my fourth trip, and the scenery is unbelievable........
You would need to figure a long weekend for the trip.
I am trying to put something together for the next few weekends. After that, the weather gets too unpredictable, and temps start to drop.......
Anyone interested?
