PW-80 compression

Step son has a Pw-80 yami that recently decided not to run... In doing my normal trouble shooting I put a new plug in it, checked for gas, oil, air etc...

Put my thumb over the plug hole and it felt really weak. Checked compression came out to 38psi...

Anybody know if these little bikes have a compression release on them?

Just checking here. Did you hold the throttle wide open during the compression test ?

I would think the compression should be minimum of 90 lbs
