Putting V-force reeds in m7 without boondocker?

i was wondering if i could put V-force reeds in my 05 m7 withought having to buy a boondocker fuel map. has anyone done this to there M7? also have a MBRP can on it...thnx Bauer

did you guys loose power or gain throttle response? or was there any gain?

any power gain or throttle response is VERY minimal.you probably wont notice.
considering the cost and the fact that its kind of a chore to do,i would NOT do it again.

not trying to burst your bubble, but i am sure you will hear more stories like mine than stories telling you to install them.spend your money on clutching first
then maybe a head?????better yet, a PC track.

i already have them from my other m7 that i just bought all new pedals for the stock cages it carburated and im switching it all back to stock cause it wont run right. so would you consider putting them in my 05 efi m7 or just keep stock reeds?

^^+1

Go for clutching or the PC track as suggested.
I was VERY dissapointed with my V-Force's....I mean don't get me wrong, the build quality, fit, etc...etc... are great. But you just don't ''feel'' the power like you'd expect after the job is done. I'd look for other lanes of performance first. Just my .02:face-icon-small-coo

dont need any fuel control with them but it would not be in the top 5 mods i do to a motor

but if you want to stay away from a fuel box , your choices are limited. you might be able to get away with a pipe though without fuel control , talk to speedwerx or similiar

05 and 06 M7's can run a pipe with no box. their fuel mapping is extra rich from factory so that is why people are putting injector perfectors on them to take some of the fuel away. Leave it with the stock fuel lines and put a pipe on and rip on her. Did it to my wifes Xfire 7.

I agree with everyone on here. Buy a cold air intake from BDX or CPC. Now that will get you the throttle response your looking for! I put one on this year along side my buddie's M7 with V-force reed and no comparison.

reeds

i put vfreeds in my 06 M7 and there was very little difference was not impressd its kinda of a pain to change them i rode my sled for a week and put a timbersled intake on and there was a noticeable difference in throttle response. i am currently haveing toruble with a top end bog after the mods but im thinken it has to do with my clutching. With the tibersled intake its much louder and a lower tone i was very impressd with the intake and the wieght loss it was fairly easy to install. i would not waste your time with the reeds

fuel controller

i had them in a f7 and it made no difference, the D&D power authority controller was a nice imporovement for little money, sell them v force to a kid with daddys moneylol also as stated from others its alot of work for minimal gains,go through all that work a persons gonna want to feel some gains

question?
i have an 07 m8 efi with bdx airbox mod,i have a D&D y pipe, pipe and can,if i add that pipe set up will i need a controller or will the fat stock mapping handle it?
