I have loved my kit this year her are some things that I have found.

First is they do need coolant...... Even the guy from Tial say's it is a must.
The fancy air filter sucks I changed my to like a BD one. I had one slipped off suck some snow in and ate the turbo.
On the 2010 M8 with the bigger injectors I had a real rich issue on the bottom end Just like I always had a cold pipe I turned my fuel pressure down to 30 psi and still was not happy so I put a none turbo M1000 Boondocker Box before the Attitude box and Took fuel out at 3000 an a little a 5000 and rip rip rip cleaned the bottom end right up.

The other is the front exhaust is ok for most but it was not an option for me so I did a tunnel dump.

So in concussion is the oil cooler necessary no but coolant is.I love the Oil pressure gauge as to always know it is oiling. Love the kit and tial is a home run.

Thanks for the review, but what does "oil cooler necessary no but coolant is" mean? My garrett has coolant that plumbs around the turbo, but no "oil cooer".

What kind of oil pressure do you see? Mine(OVS) doesn't have one, but I've been thinking about adding one. On my 900 mito evo3 has a oil pressure gauge, and runs about 15#at idle, and up to about 40#at WOT. I was told the garretts, being ball bearing, require very little pressure.

Oil cooler

Is it needed I do not think it is but water coolant is a must.
I run about 8 psi of oil pressure.

15 and 40 you must have been running a sleeve bearing turbo was it a good pump? What kind were did you get it?

So what you are saying is the kit does not work unless you rework it. Sounds like Boondocker 1000 kit I once bought.

Not

I would not say i had to rework it but to perfect it I did some tweaks to my liking.

Yes they are but I am not sure its all that necessary is all I am saying.

its not about being "necessary".....its about being "completly retarded"

anyone who rides hard will trash a set off plastics each year, i always have to patch mine up a few times each year......so, why would i or other folks that ride hard want a cooler as a skid plate?

this kit really pissed me off the first time i saw it:face-icon-small-dis
