Pure Logic Box - No Response

Got everything hooked up, started the sled, no lights, no nothing, if I remove the ground wire is sputters and recovers or dies, if I put the ground back it sounds good again.

Everything seems to be hooked up right but no lights??

Push the mode button get nothing??

Any HELP!!?

where is your ground at? try starting it and shutting it off a few times, mine doesnt light up all the time after it sits for a while like more than a week or so. keep trying it, also what are your co's set at?

I really made sure I had a good ground on the steel frame that holds the head lights on (I removed the paint on the steel frame to insure a good ground) also the screw holding it on goes into the frame.

What are the co's?

The box is set at what ever it comes set at, without the lights coming on I have no way to change the settings or know what is going on.

your co's are your off idle fuel settings, it will adjust your idle afr's and your throttle response off idle, most people with the pl box set them at -25, you have to ground a wire from your engine harness and get to them from the gauge cluster do a search on the old forum to find out what wire it is and how to do it

Chance are that you got a bad box , they do have a high failer rate , my last one lasted 15 - 20 minutes and when i called about it , the first thing i was ask is , dont you have a spare , well thats all it took , sent it back and took my sled to Mitch at at Synergy , he did up one of his fuel / timing box for my alpine turbo apex ( a few changes by Mitch ) we set the sled up on the dyno , ran up to 24 lbs boost on C12 fuel , A/F in the 12 .5 range with no knock on the parker knock box.
Could never do this with the Pure logic fuel box could not run it above 18 lbs and keep the A/F in range and the knock box would be going off, if you increase the fuel rail pressure to give more fuel on top end then the bottom end could not be keep in range ( rich ) With Synergys box Mitch can add or take away fuel and or timing anywhere thoughtout the map.
Before taking my sled to Mitch it worked good ,but did not start to build boost until 7000- 7500 rpms , i could be going down trail at 70 -80 Km/H and not have any boost ,when mitch got done with it , it works unreal Starts building boost at 4300 -4500 rpms , responce is unreal , it buildes boost on trail at 25-30 km/h now , i am glad i got piss off and did away with the pure logic box and its SPARE , haha .

When we had it on the dyno , he made 4 different fuel map , so he would have a base line for the alpine kit ,different size down pipes and turbo houseing , i am running a gt2871 with the smallerturbo houseing ( i think .64 ) and a 3 inch down pipe , with rod JE 10-1 piston , head ported /polished with larger valve and spring with racing cams , had the cylinder bunch and sleeved .
I am not doing all this to run real big power , but to releif unnecessary stress and to increase reliablity . it feel like it has more power now at 10 lbs boost then before at 15 -16 , with realy good low end responce.
As far as getting this box , $ of this box , you would have to get ahold of Mitch .

Does anybody have anything good to say about the logic box? Had the old style,(wires to each injector), on my 07 Apex, lasted a couple rides then became erratic and showing codes. Got sent the latest edition from Attitude and took all the old stuff out and put the new in. First day ran ok, 2nd day it went nuts, I would change the settings as I tuned, then when I would cycle back through the modes the settings would have changed themselves. Then it went to having only the 4-5-6 modes. Later as the day cleared and warmed up it went back to operating correctly. I think it must have got moisture inside and once it dried out it started working. Today it started out working great and I thought..hot damn got this thing working. After about 30 miles I started getting weird readings on the guage, some error codes, some off-the-wall readings etc. When I would shut it off and then start it again it would work ok again for a while. How am I supposed to trust what it's telling me and tune the sled. Yes, I double checked all the connections. I just don't get it!!!

I sealed the crap out of my powderlites box (same box design as PL) when I got it and I have been running it all year and haven't had a single issue with it. I resealed it the other day for kicks. One thing I have been doing is letting the sled completely cool prior to putting on my cover. If you put the cover on when the sled is still real hot it steams up everything on the gauges and I am sure that that humidity will soak your EFI box.

Yes my boxs were seal very well ,what i did not like was paying $1500 .00 more for the alpine GT2871 big boost kit that was said to boost 26 lbs , well last year i could run 18 -20 lbs boost only after installing and paying more money for the up dated down pipe and Mitchs timing box and at that i could not get the A/F to run in the 12 range .
I would think if you pay more money for something , and the R & D work was not done to get the kit to do what you payed for as they do more R & D work and come out with up grades in trying to get the kit to do what it was sold to do , that i would not be charged for that upgrade , why should i pay $ 1000.00 for the new alpine header that is said to stop header cracking , inprove respone and top end , when i already payed for one with the kit , i think you should do more R & D work and make shore the kit will do what you are saying it will do , before you start selling it . Just my 2 cents worth but than again my name is,nt **** *****.

That is the very reason that I built an Apex this year instead of a Nytro. I wanted all of the bugs or most of the bugs worked out. Sorry to here your having many issues. I bought my kit direct from Dave at Powderlites and could not be happier!!

No issues now ,the kit is now doing what i payed for in the frist place and i am very happy with it NOW , i just had to pay more $ to get it there. As far as frist year bug problem , this was the second year for the apex.
