Pump fuel for turbo?

I have been running Chevron 94 octane in the Apex and it seems fine but I have read a few posts saying not to use it. Whats wrong with it and has anybody actually had a problem first hand with it? What other fuel is good?

I'm running 12lbs and ride from 5-8000 ft. I have the headshim installed and Alpine says 91 octane is safe at this boost level. I was running the 94 octane for extra insurance. There were a couple posts about Chevron gas being no good so I was checking to see what thats all about.

i'm just making an assumption that it was maybe a claim of bad gas but it coulda easily been a bad batch of fuel. But on our farm we bought bulk gasoline from Co-op for years, we switched to petro can and the differnence in how well our trucks and toys ran was very noticable.

sorry but co-op get's it's fuel from shell or petrocan in alberta and b.c and some places in sask mostly shell and some from rail out of usa.i deliver it for them.they all trade fuel if they are having problems or have a short supply.the only thing i can say is stay with premium there is no ethenol in it.

Co-op may buy crude oil from those companies but they refine their own fuel in regina.

Meat If It were me I would stick with what your running, if it ain't broke don't fix it

Yeah I agree. 94 with what your running sounds fine. Not sure what your paying for it but you can get 100 octane race fuel for a decent price

i pick up the fuel at suncor or shell in edmonton my self and deliver it to co-op bulk or retail stores.it is cheaper to trade fuel then to ship it.drive buy suncor or shell refinery and see all the co-op trucks.

the only 94 i know of is husky and it does have ethanol i think chevron and husky are the same ask the gas station they get a copy of the refinery bill of lading it will say the % of ethanol in the fuel.if you are worried try av fuel it's 100. petrocan, shell and esso premium has no ethanol.

OK good to know. I read a post on here or TY that a guys Nytro blew up and his mechanic was blaming it on Chevron 94 octane fuel. Just thought I better check since I havent even got a full tank through yet.

In BC chevron 94 has no ethnol... But u can get 100 AV for only 30 cents ish more... Race in BC is stupid $$$... $5-6 per LITRE vs AV @ 1.8-2
