pulling xlt motor help

were is the best spot to drain the coolant and what do i do with the oil line just unhook it? and just undo the plug wires? thanx in advance

Only thing to do is pull the lowest hose possible typically the front hose. There is no real good way to do this with out making a huge mess. I sure wish that they would make a drain on engines with some sort of access panel to where you could drain it into a pan and not have a bulkhead and belly pan full of antifreeze.

I unhook the oil likes and put bolts in them trying to keep air out as much as possible remember you need to bleed the air out of the oil lines too when you put the engine back in the sled. air in the system is a bad thing.

With the way the coil packs and plug wires are on the XLT's Id suggest you leave all the wires hooked up and in the correct order. If you think you cant remember take some masking tape and mark the connections as to what they came off of those can only go one way and work correctly.
