Pulled the trigger and bought myself a 05 159

Havent got to ride it yet pretty pumped to go riding. Got the guy down to $4000 it has a 06 pistons and crank slp head pipe and can slp air box frog skin heat eliminators cooling loop taken out dont know about the rad didnt dig rite into it.Went for a little ride around the yard and wow cant wait to let her out free.Didnt feel any vibrations out of the ordanary.
But I have a question about the pipe ive heard pipes are not super good and lean out your sled should I be looking at getting the stocker back

No. The SLP pipes (and the the ECM reflash) work just fine, actually work great. Don't know where you heard that one but you can squash that right now. You would have to go back to a stock flashed ECM if you did go with the stock pipe.....

So for those of us that have purchased used already modded sleds, is there a way to tell what the ECM has been flashed with? Is there a reader?

get your vin# and call your dealer, (or a dealer) and ask them what all has been done to that machine. anytime they do work on them, they enter the vin# to keep track.

Do you know dealers share information (we have about 6 dealers in the immediate area).

Also is there a VIN anywhere besides the tunnel? Mine has tunnel stiffeners and only the first 3 digits show. I'd need to remove them to see under them.

Took it out yesturday found some really good hero snow to get stuck in haha the thing digs to china but feels like it is engaging alittle late but once it grabs holy CRAP little hairy skis straight up. Whats it supposed to be grabbing at currently it is 3500 im thinking that I need it to be hitting in around 3700-4000 going to check my wieghts tomorrow

3500 is about right... take advantage of that torque, You can putt around all day with the bottom end power:D:D:face-icon-small-hap Also keep in mind that with the long stroke motor, your target peak RPM will only want to be between 7400-7600 RPM, these motors don't spin the 8400 RPM that the smaller displacement units like to be around!

Example of putting at low RPM:face-icon-small-sho

And some WOT playing:face-icon-small-hap

Again, Welcome to the club... the 900s are a little different than many other sleds, but that's why many of us really love them!:beer;
