I have a 2010 m8 about 150 miles on it and so far love the sled I am surprised at the power the thing has my last to sleds were turbo yams. But the pull cord handle at idle rattles like hell and beats on the hood is there a easy fix for this it drives me crazy!!!!!

My 09 did the same thing after I would turn out from a climb. I took some rubberized tape and wrapped the rope side of the handle where it rests on the sled when retracted and it stopped it completely.

my 2010 m8 did the same thing, loud as hell, pull cord handle would vib the whole sled....was gonna do somin about it, but it went away or i got used to it

two other complaints:
- seat is slick as snot into a long ride, pretty scary:face-icon-small-dis
- idles very high for a long time, like it takes for ever to heat up.....and it idles high when i stop after a good session, so she whould be heat soaked

400 or so miles thus far

yea it irritated me at first but now with 1000 miles I don't even notice it. if you keep it pinned it wont rattle.:face-icon-small-hap

I wrapped hockey tape around the part of the handle where the rope attaches. Seems to have done the trick.

Drill a hole in a tennis ball and thread your rope thru it. Works great! :face-icon-small-hap

Just kidding, do the spark plug boot trick.

Do the spark plug boot trick. I know what you mean. When you get off the Yamaha onto the Cat you hear a lot more squeaks and rattles, the Yamaha "holds them down tighter" so you don't hear it as much, plus the key never rattles!
