Pueblo, CO Riding?

Is there any decent riding around Pueblo? Might be potentially moving there and was wondering if the mountains are nearby.

Thanks

2 hour drive, maybe 2 1/2 if you go slow. 3 or 4 to get over the divide, and into the goods.

Farther from stuff than Denver, but with less people the actual travel times end up the same, and way less road rage.

Do yourself a favor and don't move to Pueblo. Its ok to work there but you'll want to live elsewhere such as Colorado Springs which is a short 45-50 minute commute.

Pueblo is pretty hot in the summer months, about 10 deg F than Colorado Springs, gets little rain or snow in winter, and pretty depressing if you are young and single.

If I was young single and not set in my ways, I'd be living in Fort Collins.....much closer to the Snowies.

Burandt rides St Elmo. Cottonwood Pass, Monarch Pass, Tincup Pass...all within 2 hours of Pueblo. I live in Falcon, CO and make it to St Elmo in 100 miles.

I live in Rye, CO SW of Pueblo near the Greenhorns. As stated the nearest real riding is Buena Vista. I spent most of my time in south fork this season though. Not terrible but not far. I also chose not to live in Pueblo proper, but plenty of places around that are nice depending on what you are looking for.
