Public Meetings to be held to present draft Strategic Plan for Winter Recreation
The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission has scheduled a series of public meetings to present a draft strategic plan for Winter Recreation activities managed by State Parks. The public is invited to participate in any of these meetings that are scheduled for the following dates, times and locations:

The meetings are the concluding steps in planning process that has been underway since early 2007. The Winter Recreation Strategic Plan will address suggested program goals and strategies for the next 5 years that have been formulated in response to input from a variety of winter recreation user groups, the Winter Recreation and Snowmobile Advisory Committees, various winter recreation organizations, other government agencies, Commission staff, and the public at large. Following the public meetings, the proposed draft plan will be considered by the Commission at its June 12, 2008 meeting in Okanogan.
