Kevin Kreuger wants have legislation pass to make it a crime to go high marking, penalties would be to seize the snowmobile and sell it at an auction!!

I think this one fight they would never win, most retarded thing i have ever heard, they would have to shut down all mountain riding skiing, sledding etc. because they can all cause avis.

As long as Down Hill Ski Resorts can only ski the Bunny hill and BC Skiers and Boarders can ski from mid hill only.

Impossible to police, expensive implement, and ridiculous to even suggest.

He's the MP for Thompson Chilcotin.

Hig marking

Give us link to email this Ice hole and so he gets some feedback.
Crazy and not even in touch with life.

I voiced my opinion, I would recomend others do the same. If its not this it will be some other bogus law

kevin,

Your proposal for the siezure of snowmobiles for highmarking is completly outrageous! The information the public has been fed by media was bias and misinformed. I have been a member of the snowmobiling community for many years and two of my close friends where in the revelstoke slide in march. I realise some changes should be made but your proposal is going in the wrong direction by labling sleders as criminals! It would be a waste of taxpayer money to persue this and would be impossible to police. I belive the correct course of action is education! I think everyone who registers a snowmobile in british columbia should have Avalanche training. This would be much more beneficial to the tourism industry and easily policed.

thank you for your time,

Actually, anyone who RIDES in BC should prove avalanche training, not to p!ss on anyone but the three guys killed in highmarking avi's, were from Alberta. Education is the key.

I hate to say it, but living here my whole life, more people from Alberta and the USA have been killed snowmobiling in BC than people from BC sledding close to home. I don't know if that's bad luck, lack of knowledge, lack of knowledge specific to the area, different mindset, "going big on my holidays," or a combination of many things. But it's definetly something to think about. And yes I know it can happen to anyone, but again....something to consider on your trip to BC.
