We just returned safely from a day up Prov. Are heads were on swivels the whole time. We stayed clear of the Rodeo grounds, and all of those east facing slopes! Had good time boondockin' through the trees on the smaller inclines. One question I have though, and I don't mean to sound insensible with the events of the past few days, but... does anyone know if they have closed this area to sledders? I'm only asking because the road up to the parking lot has not been plowed or maintained at all. If that's the case then I'll need to find new areas to ride, as 90%+ of my seasons have been up there. Here is a couple of pics that were taken, apparently my M7 has developed a hatred towards my friends RMK:eek:

Not it is not closed to sledders. Since its a dirt road, its not to high on the priority list.
Glad you had fun. Looks like it's starting to get deep.

They had not plowed Farmington Canyon yesterday either, not even by the late afternoon.

I have never seen them not work on the Farmointon Canyon road other than Christmas day in ten winters.

Hmmm. Must be the budget cuts that everyone seems to be doing. Isn't that where some of the money I pay to register my sled is supposed to go?

monti had parking attendants controlling the parking situation today. the good county sherriff where out there and i must say they fit alot more rigs today. full parking lot. A** load of people out there today:eek:. lot and road were better taken care of than ogden streets:cool:. who knows where the money is going to. I PAYED!:beer;

1MEXonM7, The parking attendants up Monti are members of the Davis County Snowmobile club that donate their time each weekend. Sounds like its helping the parking.

We passed the plow about a mile down from the gates at about 3:00 yesterday. They are there just a little later than normal.

P.S. To all those idiots in two wheel drive cars that were trying to drive up the canyon, STAY HOME!!!!!!!!!!!
We are not going to stop and push you guys out any more.

DCS Club needs to be there more often. Hopefully more people got the hint to park in a way that more people can park their rigs. For what i saw, they did a great job.

^^^ A big AMEN to that. A little common sense and courtesy could go long way!
