protective gear demon xd30 ?

has anyone had any experience with this sort of new gear for snowmobiling? the demon xd30 looks good on paper but does it really protect you from some of the cracks you take from this sport? and does it work as well in the extreme cold? I have been looking for some knee/shin guards that wasn't bulky...but the upper body armor looks way better than my bulky tek vest.

Looks ok, says designed for snowmobiling. Anythings better than nothing

Love my Kali shin guards. Extremely comfortable and fit well just above my boots. The only negative I have for them is that you do have to put them on before the boots because of the fitted design but I don't think I would change that because of how well they stay in place and the comfort.

EVS comp suit is just the right amount of protection for me. its light and doesn't get too warm yet still covers the main areas I was concerned about which were chest, spine, shoulders, elbows/forearms. The sleeves being removable is also a major bonus for those that don't care for the elbow/forearm protection. I've always worn a back brace so having that built into the suit was an added bonus.

I like the look of the Demon chest protection, but would prefer if it was a pressure suit like the EVS comp suit. That being said I don't like the EVS because it has no rib protection on the sides. I have broken my ribs twice now, and the EVS wouldn't of helped either. I am using the TLD shock doctor 7855. It is mostly soft, light, breaths well and has full coverage.

The Demon flexforce X D30 looks like it could be a substitute for a mid layer. That's what I like about it.
