Protecting a three place trailer?

I recently bought a 16' three place trailer.

What would you guys suggest to protect the bed?

It will be used for hauling three machines, one 136" Gen II Polaris, one 121" 'Cat ZL (both studded), and a 121" Gen II (2" paddle track, no studs).

Any advise you can give would be appreciated.

Open or enclosed trailer? On an open just use a water sealer and keep the deck clean. Be carefull using anything that will make it slippery like some paints, oil's, etc. Then install some Superglides to keep the carbides from chewing up the surface. A little investment now will pay off later.

Thanks for the link, I had found that earlier in a search...

The trailer in question is a 3 place open trailer. It measures 16' x 101" + the V in the front. It is configured to haul 3 machines, 1 on each side on the front, and the thrid in the center on the rear.

I can easily run slides/mats for the 2 machines in the front, but what about the one in the rear?

You can add a couple lengths up the middle for the 3rd sled. They become traction mats for the front 2 sleds. Look at 94fordguys trailer in the link he posted, you could install slides just to the inside of the aluminum track for the sled up the middle (if your trailer is similar). Also those studed up sleds will tear up the plywood decking, so be prepared to replace it at some point.

My concern with adding another set of glides for the 3rd machine is each side would be basicly right under the track of the 2 front machines... I am not sure how well that will work for traction, and how badly the studded tracks will tear up the guides.

Also, how difficult is it going to be to drive the sled off the trailer if it has guides going straight up the center?

My trailer is very similar to 94fordguy's... It is shorter, and has no rails... just your basic V front trailer...
