i got my snowmachine painted this year and was wondering what kind of clear protectant film i could put on it to save the paint from chipping.

Honestly a good clear coat would work the best. The 3M and similar films are generally to protect against rocks, gravel, sand, etc. Plus it is REALLY hard to wrap on curved surfaces. Take a piece of paper and try to wrap it around the curves on your sled without making a fold. The film is normally stretched and heat shrunk.
you think just a clear coat would work though? cause i can see just little branches scratching it and chipping it even with the clear coat.
If done properly, I think that would be the best. I honestly wouldn't have spent too much money on a paint job if you are that worried about it.

ya makes since. i only spent about 90 bucks for paint and my friend painted it for free since hes a painter so it was pretty cheap. thanks for the help though
