ProTaper hooks

I just bought a 2012 RMK and I don't mind the stock bars (non-ProTapers), but I absolutely love the ProTaper hooks. Can anyone think of a way to make these hooks work with the standard bar?

The ProTaper hooks fit an ID of about 13.25mm, the stock bars have about an 18.5mm ID.

I'd rather not have to swap bars, but it looks like my only option.

And yes, I'm well aware that there are several of you out that that dislike the ProTaper hooks...

Sleeve the stock bars down to the 13.25mm. Could anchor the sleeve by welding, set screw or pop riveting the sleeve in.
Another thought is use a sleeve and cut the end length wise about 1" of the inner most part so when you tighten the 13.25 mm end it expands holding the sleeve and the bar hook in.
Just throwing out ideas.

You may know this, the std steel bars are 3 inches narrower without the hooks, and would get very tight on room with the pro hooks. Get a wider aluminum bar and riser if you need - the diff in wall thickness is steel vs. alum. Lots of choices from the moto x world, you can cut to width, and drop your fav hooks on it.
