Just wanted to give a shout out for some great customer service from Carlisle belts. I run the 803 belt on my xp 600 rentals and I had a customer take a machine out and blew the factory belt, he replaced it with the 803 spare and within a mile the belt came apart. Literally the inner cogs started pealing away. Obviously a defect. First I have seen after running dozens and dozens of Carlisles belts over the years. When the customer got back I gave him his money back for a ruined day that was not his fault. I then emailed carlisle (it was a saturday) not expecting to have a response until Monday. An hour later I had a email in my inbox. We emailed back and forth and I sent him pictures of the belt. I explained that I didn't have time to send the belt in for a replacement due to the fact that downtime on a rental = loss revenue, so I either needed him to send me one immediately or I needed to just buy another replacement. He sent one off immediately along with a second one to help make up for the money I had to give back on the rental. AAA Service!

I've had great luck with Carlisle/Ultimax belts. When they do shred I've sent the pieces back with warranty card and my check for $6.Just got one back in the mail Tuesday:D.Gotta love that 1 year warranty, going on almost 1300 miles on my Ultimax XS belt on my 08 Dragon 700.

Blew an XS at Fairview. Didn't have my receipt and they still said they would replace it.

That's customer service and why I continue to buy their belts and speak positively about them.Money well spent:)

A rental place that gave the money back to the renter for a ruined day of riding?!?!

I think that guy should be on here saying props to you! :D

Will have to look into the XS belt. I'm willing to change if there is something better out there as I know the 115 belt on the dragon with venting and different gearing doesn't seem to cut the mustard. Everyone says my alingment is in spec to boot but I'm going to have place go through everything to make sure.

Thanks for the info and glad to hear places do that still.

If the customer rents a sled in good faith that the sled is going to work he should get what he paid for. Most times I try to get them to come back another day at no cost, but this guy was from out of town so I gave him the money back. Kinda sucks to lose the revenue on a booked out day, but my integrity is worth more than a days rental revenue. Plus it is just fair.

Carlisle is a great company. I did some work with some of the designers of the XS belt, we had good luck with the belt in drag racing.

I'm glad someone is happy with them. I have sent 2 back to them in the last week and have a handfull of another one going in this week. I have hand cramps from filling out the warranty card. I'm so pissed I'm calling them and demanding my money back on all three belts. I have had good luck with them in the good old days, but after trying for two seasons now to get them to hold together, I'm done. The warranty is worthless to me---I will not run their belts. If they don't refund my money I will have three new belts for a Cat for sale. 2-XS817's and 1-146-4626U3
