Propane or Diesel?

I'm looking at building an old GM 4x4 truck and have been wondering should I go with a propane big block (supercharged maybe) or with a Duramax? Would like to hear all the pros and cons

Duramax! You can make more power, cheeper, and more reliable with a duramax, than almost any other engine. There is a book out there dedicated to installing a duramax in a 88-99 chevy truck. I have seen some installs in older trucks as well, and they are awsome!

bbc's are cheap as dirt... so are supers/turbos, whatever.. and the propane system to run it costs about what 1 or 2 big injectors for a dirty does.. I love diesel.. but propane is my thing.. stuff is SO SWEET.. and a LOT different.

propane being 120+ octane, you can run retarted boost levels with no effort or worries of deto..

and for the straight cost.. dirty+wiring + adaptation = $$$$$$ big block could be built to the HILLS for equal cost and hold up to insane power levels, also, 1 wire going into the distributor, one into the starter.. got simple?? they already are born into the truck, so straight bolt in. both would be cool, but unless you got a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket, then stick the lp buggy idea.
