Proof that trees do not prevent avys.

I have heard that if the trees are too tight to ride in, then they able to hold the snow... Anything bigger is avy terrain.

I also want to remind everybody that it is the smaller slopes that can be the most dangerous. This boarder was killed on a slope that carried him 2400 feet, but we have had 2 avys this week in Colorado that killed 2 people and both were very small slides. One was only 150 feet and the other was 30. Yes, 30 feet! This was very small, but it was in a gully that buried the person. Also, in both cases the victims were wearing beacons and still died.

Thx for the post. It really sucks that another life was lost, but I had a gut feeling after last weeks storm it would be an inevitable fact that stories like this would occur. I sometimes get caught up in the complete arrogance that some **** tards post in the comment sections of these stories. It takes everything I have not to feed the stupid trolls because they have endless guts. If you dissect this story it is obviously clear that bad decisions were made. Another tragic example of how easy it is to become a statistic. RIP, and condolences to all families.
