Anyone have one installed on a 2009 cfi 2? I just ordered one, although I've been told that its not compatible with the 2009 600 shift 155" cfi 2 that I have. Something about the instructions saying there's a wiring harness to plug into, and the wiring harness there referring to cease to exist. Anyone have any experience with installing this or advice?

I recently installed one on my 08 D8.

Greg Coen from gcmi was kind enough to e-mail the instructions.

If you want to PM me your e-mail address i will e-mail the instructions to you.

It's pretty painless, just install the light, install a couple of wires into the harness plus, install the relay and switch.

There are two different kits: 2874969 for 07-09 cfi and 2875638 for 06-09 600 carb.

I installed the center beam kit on my dragon about a month ago. Extremely painless. The hardest part for me was modifying the housing to accommodate the hid. Sorry about the sideways picture. Just tilt head to left

Will not work on a CFI 2
I have an 09 CFI 2 and tryed everything ,added relays ,even added a hot feed to trip the relay
had my dealer talk to polaris and they finally told him that it will not work

That's what I was told from a friend with a 2009 cfi 2. Whats the reason this will not work? Anyone know? Seems kind of odd.

I get my kit in tommorow, so i guess i'll give it a try.

Does Polaris offer this light in some certain model sled? I have a 2010 that has the plug connector and a rubber cover over the back of the hole. What would it take to put a light in there?

What do you have to do to modify the housing for the HID? and what made it hard? im thinking about putting the kit on my sled and i just need some pointers ahead of time so it goes smoothly when i do the install!:face-icon-small-con

Which kit did you end up going with? Hows the light cut off, not blinding I hope? I want to put full hid's on mine but I ride a fair amount of trails at night, don't want to blind anyone.

problems persist

On my sled.... not all the wiring is there as per Polaris instructions.
have got everythig done but am missing a hot feed to activate the
relay to turn on the projector beam. Can I tap into the high beam and skip on the relay for power?

I imagine there is a relay in the system for a good reason. I wouldn't boot-leg a hot off another circuit without knowing if the relay can't work first.

Gonna be ordering up a HID kit for the center light, If anyone is interested in the other one let me know. Also im really curious on how the headlight hids are for on comming riders. I ride alot of trails and dont want me be known as "yea, that guy"

the projector beam on mine actually putts a big yellow dot in the snow. for my friends without the hid, i believe he doesn't experience this dot. as far as the bulb size, it is either h1 or h3. i cant remember which

Well guys I went to pull my headlight out yesterday to put in my HID and find out I'm missing the clip/holder for my projector. Is this the same part used on the regular headlights?
