this is my toy, its an 87 toyota pretty stock other than the slight body mods!!!

in the last 2 pics i added a roll cage that i built lastnight an will bolt down today. any one see any big problems with it be fore i bolt it in? any ideas on how to make it better. i made it with just stuff i found in the shop!!! it should for for now.

the day i got it. put teh swampers on it and took them back off an hour later!!!

its ugly!!!

the flashlight is not so nice after i droped 100 pounds of steel on it!!!

need to bolt it down and paint it!!

i built a rock gaurd while i was waiting for the drill to charge, does it look like it is strong enough?

got pissed waiting on the drill and just welded teh cage in!!! its almost done. ill bolt it also when the drill wakes up!!

any thing else im missing? still need the x bracing but don't have enough metal

Turbo:

Startin to take shape quite nicely.

The only suggestions I would have for you is to make skid plates for that cross bar underneath and extend it back to cover the catelitic converter. Make it so it cannot get hung up underneath on anything, but stil be able to get to maintenance items.

needs a small block chevy. We are building a desert truck with a northstar aluminum 383 and supercharger. Only thing is we want independent rear....

this is low cost no v8 in its life any time soon!!!! i can sell you my front end and you can have idapent rear with steer!!!!

your putting in a roll cage, but you still got IFS? make sure your cage has is strong enough, i saw one on a jeep that was homemade break when it was barley put on its side....but that may have been the jeep part

other that looks good!!, how big are those swamper? toy axles can only take 38 MAX.....

im gonnna start a 4 runner project soon, we should keep each other up to date...

also, read on Pirate4x4 like someone else said. some amazing yota techs on there, but be careful, they will rip u a new one for a dumb post...

wheeled it all day today!!! did what jeff said i would ripped teh muffler and cat off on a rock!!! first 20 mins i ripped the mirror off and dented the door. tryed all day to test my rockgaurds but didn't!!!

You might want to put some cross braces in there so if you roll, it wont just fold to the side.

Why not Round the top roll bar to keep you off the roof? is that a 22R in that beast?

i may redo the hole bed and if i do then the hole role cage will be round bar. yes a beat to death still running 22r
