Project "Semi-Pro"

This summer i bought an 09 dragon with a boondocker turbo on it. Unfortunately second time out I Tagged a good sized rock and took out the entire front end on the clutch side. ( upper and lower a arm, ski, shock)
I decided that having to buy new stuff either way i would put a front end off a 2011 on it ( a arms and spindles) this making my dragon a "Semi-pro" :face-icon-small-win

I am also taking advantage of the down time and lack of snow and putting on a new wrap from arcticfx, some powder coating, and A "Fix" kit
will be updating with pictures and such!
Has anyone done a pro front end on an IQ yet?

I'm pretty sure that the pro a-arms are just lighter(weaker). When I bought my zbroz a-arms they sent me the "pro" kit by mistake for my iq. The only thing that wouldn't fit were the bushing so they just sent me a set of iq bushings.

Hate to break this to you BUT the a-arms, and steering rods are the same. Exactly the same dimension wise - between the IQ and the PRO. The PRO ones are actually weaker.

The knuckles are also the same dimensions with the exception that the steering bolts lower on the PRO.

The front shocks are the same length between the two chassis.

No gain by doing what you are proposing.

Talked to a dealer that did it and they said the steering was WAY easier.

Got the front end on yesterday, finished the motor up today, put the new wrap on. just gotta set the toe and put the skis on and she'll be ready to rip! will post some more picks soon

Curious to see what your pistons looked like. You didn't happend to measure them did you? Post some pictures. Thanks
