Just ordered up a Gryphon (aftermarket / private lable edge) programmer for my 08 F-150.

More of a FYI for people thinking of this. They offer custom tunes instead of the run of the mill edge tunes. I have a e-85 custom tune on level 1, a 87 custom tune on level 2 and a 87 custom towing tune on level 3 coming on Monday. I'm looking forward to it and will let you all know how it goes.

Seems like a great company to do business with if you were thinking along those lines. They have some great diesel stuff as well. Especially for the FICM 6.0L and the new 6.4L

The custom tune stuff looks pretty comprehensive from what I can tell. The form page that you have to fill out goes into every little detail.

Any recomendations for my truck on what works and is a good upgrade?.

call lidio at alternative automotive in MI.... probably one of the single best ford efi performance guys i've ever met... he's not much for diesel, but for gassers there's no-one better imho... and he makes a box for the f150's

Check out that web site and look on the f-150 forums. Give them a call and chat, they seem crazy knowledgeable and are 100% no pressure. They simply say what it does and ask you what you are expecting. People on the forums have had some issues with the "stock edge programs" and have been throughly impressed with the custom tunes this place does.

They even have a deal where you could send in your current edge programmer and they will custom tune that to make it what you want.

As far as what I would recommend? I'm pretty chicken when it comes to some things or wasting money on mods that do nothing. I bought the progarmmer for better shifting, better overall running and for the diagnostic stuff in case I have a SES light come on.

For the guys with the Edge progarmmer on Fords whether it be diesel or gas it can be custom tuned by these guys at power hungry for only $50.00 per custom tune.

It is a edge box they sell but not branded edge as this place does their own and it's strictly Ford stuff.

If I still had my PSD I would seriously look into the FICM mod from these guys.
