Skinz Protective Gear (SPG) started in 1996 manufacturing protective pads and accessories for the bicycle industry. Due to an extensive background in the snowmobile industry over 25 years, SPG expanded into the snowmobile aftermarket products industry in 2003 starting with the innovative stretch, waterproof cover. Since then, SPG has added multiple lines and products which have evolved from our own snowmobiling experiences and the input and participation from many within the sport of snowmobiling. SPG is unique in that it develops and tests all of its own products and builds every item in our manufacturing plant in Minnesota. Our capabilities are very broad which include all the equipment and resources necessary for in house development and production. This is achieved for the purpose of building a quality product and being able to make improvements to the product as needed. SPG is currently located in central Minnesota on 3.5 acres of land and incorporates approximately 16,000 square feet of manufacturing space.

We have been working with Skinz now for 4 years and to be honest I wish all companies were like them! They offer everything from Tunnel Bags, Windshield Bags, Kneepads, Handguards, Shock Covers to Tunnel kits and bumpers! I don't know of any other company with the passion they have for creating invovative products for the snowmobile industry. They back up all this stuff with some of the best customer service in the business.

Over the past 4 years their product line has become very popular which brings on a whole new set of problems....DELIVERY! The past few years it has been very difficult to get product due to the overwhelming demand. Every year they add more employees and more machines but it seems like it's still not enough. This year they have made some changes to who they sell to and color options on their products which will make things a lot easier to get. They adapt with the changing work flow and never stop thinking about the next product they need to develop!

An American made product built with pride is hard to come by these days and Skinz is staying true to their beliefs and producing a quality product that is reasonably priced!!

This is what is new for 2010!
