Spent the weekend riding Kodiak island.
This was a club ride put together back in October. One of the guys has a 35' gooseneck and we loaded 12 sleds sideways and put them on the ferry from Homer, AK to Kodiak city. Most of the group flew over and 3 of us made the road/boat trip. We stayed at the Russian River Roadhouse (big thumbs up!) and rode the Buskin River uplands.

Kodiak is notorious for poor weather and we weren't expecting bluebird but the weather could have been better. Kodiak is getting it's best snow in 15 years according to the locals so the snow was decent: A bit crusty and windblown in the alpine but the powder was good down in the trees.

My bone stock Pro ran well. The track hooked up well and the power came on smooth. No bogs, no burbles. I think I need some Fat Boy springs as I did just bottom out a few times.

I broke an OEM hand guard (they're crap) when I got bucked off shooting up a small gully with a bit of a wind-lip at the top that turned out to be hard icy snow.

No gremlins either--the electrical stuff worked.

I did notice a bit of a clunk at engagement so the clutches are getting pulled and cleaned.

Out of the 12 sleds there were 3 Nytros-1 turboed, an XP, and the rest were Cats except for my Pro, so mine might be the first Pro to ride "The Rock".

I was thinking about this. How did you have the sleds arranged on the trailer? These sleds are 10-11 feet long, which means that we can't put them sideways on a flatdeck trailer without being too wide for roads.

Oversize permit from DOT. The sleds were loaded head to tail. The first 10 were driven on then maneuvered into position by hand and the last two picked up and set in place.

Sorry about the pics--I'm having camera issues. Hopefully some of the other guys will post some.
