Anyone use Procom heaters for their enclosed? I'm looking at using one of these for now until I can put in a furnace. Just propane with no electric required.

We use a blue flame in ours,30,000 btus in a 28 ft enclosed. It has 1'' foam in the floor and 3/8'' bubble wrap in the roof,3 windows and it will stay in the high 60s to low 70s on med. out side temp mid 20s.Which ever kind you get make sure it has a thermostat.
Blue flames heats the air while the radiant type heats objects.
Norther tool has a sell going on now good place to buy one.

I have had both kinds red and blue. I like the red better because u don't get that propane smell. They work well heating a trailer though. Hope this helps.

The best place is eBay. It is catfish supply in the east somewhere. Just type in procom heaters and they ship to Alberta. Hope this helps

Just put a 30K BTU Procam Blue flame in my 7x27 trailer. So far, puts out plenty of heat. We'll see how it works when it gets cool out. Have the walls and ceiling insulated with 1" rigid, want to see how that works before I go to all the work of insulating the floor.

FYI, these heaters can't be bought in Canada. Theya re CSA approved for use in the US (Go figure?) so it seems like few will ship cross border. I ende dup buying them through a friend in the US. Northen tool has them on for $199 right now. Go to Greenline or Fairview and they will make a propane hose to whatever length you need. I don't plan to use mine too much, and for the cost vs. a furnace, I think it will more than suffice.

The reason there CSA approved is that the US didnt want to make up there own safety standards and just use our system. They must have figured that are saftey codes were good enough for us that they would use them to. For a change, somebody thought to adapt something & spend less $.

how do these things compare to the forced rv type heaters? I always thought the forced rv would keep the air dryer? Any thoughts?

Ya a RV forced air will keep the air dryer but the red flame does not put out that much moisture especially if u have a little fan circulating the air. The price difference is big too. I use a thirty pound tank and can go about five times without drying up. Hope this helps
