Proclimb Must haves for success

Put it on a scale and prove it. Didn't you lose a motor last year?

If I had access to a scale it would be on one but I don't, just going off what others have weighed in at with the same mods

And yes I did lose a motor last year because the crappy dealer I bought from didn't pre-mix the tank and they told me they did, even asked twice. They then processed to blame the dealership I took it to to have the repairs done, they said "they must have drained the tank and put reg fuel in it, out tech has been doin this for 30yrs". So by no means is that AC fault nor do I blame them.

It's all in fun bud. Sh t happens. We are in Revy now, time to burn some gas, break a driveshaft or bumper or two. If our engines hold together that is.

Shred some pow for me!

Ill take all those things, it's far cry better then the list to make a proride successful....
New bumper
New motor
New driveshaft
New belt drive

FYI my 12 pro climb weighs less then a 2012 Pro ride with more power and reliability :)

So you're confident that your proclimb weighs less than a pro, but you haven't weighed it? :face-icon-small-con

With a little work (330 hrs of labor or so) my fat cat did get lighter. Since cat doesnt post our dry weights like the you guys on polaris, I just added up all my lbs lost and subtracted it from 467 lbs which was the dry weight of my 2010-11. The 12' might of gained 2 lbs but from what I know it was the same.

Anyway Hooch has done a lot of the same mods I have done and he is not making a crazy statement. Cat puts so many stupid extras on these sleds they dont need.

so things like Idler wheels 2lbs set, hood and panel foam, clutch fans, vent tubes on clutch panel, taillight tower 3.5 lbs, 77 steel rivets to hold the bumper on lmao?,

So for free I shed 9 lbs, slp can 12.5 lbs, headlight delete and intake 9 lbs and seat foam 2 lbs.

435 lbs

It's so easy to remove 30 lbs on a Cat. For a 20 lb weight penalty, I'll keep my Cat over the Poo. Admit it or not, Polaris does have a reliability problem with there motors. Flicking is for boogers.

It really is that easy, I've got less then 2k into my sled this year and a bunch of sweat equity to get her down to a solid 435

polaris is a nice fine 22yr old woman all the right curves and weight and build.....
Cat well its more of a trucker hipped 55yr old and all the curves and weight you dont want :face-icon-small-hap

And a 22yr old is high maintenance and so weak she couldn't fight her way out of a wet paper bag, so yes that's the perfect analogy for a poo

I don't see the point in this thread. I've had both cat M8s and Polaris pros they're both good sleds I don't have much experience with proclimbs but they are still killer sleds this thread seems pointless it's almost like you're looking for an argument between cat guys and Polaris guys

Well Duh. Have you SEEN the three page Arctic Cat thread bashing Polaris? I think they coined the term ' green with envy' . I ride with a lot of Cat guys and they were super sensitive about all the Cat problems last year especially the 1100 turbos. What a nightmare to work on! I think its awesome that manufacturers keep stretching the envelope. Yeah they aren't going to get everything right but they het more things right than they do wrong.

talking solely weight and nothing else...for 800 dollars you can drop 20 lbs off a stock pro. that makes a 13 pro less than 400 lbs

Until you put on all the reinforcement kits and extra coolers and carry 2 kinds of belts and a spare drive shaft..................:face-icon-small-ton

Ha give me a break how can you drop 20# for 800? Cause aftermarket exhaust isn't nothing but a few lbs stock pro exhaust is already insanely light
