customer/ buddy of mine purchased the boondocker 2.0 hijacker
sled works 100% as it should stock(minus reverse)
he put the box on and left it at stock power and sled still ran mint.
then he tried to dial the boost up to 20psi.
when the box was set at 20psi the bottom end felt super lazy and the top end seemed to pull no harder than stock, maybe even slower when raced against a turbo nytro.
so we called BD and they said that he was the first to call but there was a box update available so we removed box and sent away to be updated.
while the box was away we went to Golden B.C. and talked to 2 guys one who was clueless and had the hijacker on his and his buddy was stock, the guy with the stocker said he figured the hijacker seemed to be not giving the full power of even the stock sled. but this was still the original "flash" in the hijacker
now we got out hijacker back and installed,
the sled runs mint at stock boost levels 13psi turn up to 14 and it runs good for a bit but hold it for a long time then it starts revving erratically, jumps from 5-8000rpm down to 5 up to 8... so on and so forth. turn it up to anything over 14 and you get about .5 second of hard pull then it revs erratically again, jumping rpm.
so we called boondocker again, and again they say we are the first to call. they figure there is either a problem with the box or the sled, but the sled runs fine stock which leads us to believe there is no issue with the sled and it is either in the box programming or wiring,
wondering if anyone else has had this problem and been able to tune it out or found a soloution?
to me the surging rpm feels like when a diesel truck looses fuel pressure.
my other opinion is that boondocker may have over looked some sensor that limits the engine torque/ hp and kills it when those levels are exceeded, however I do not believe boondocker would release a product with out fully testing it.
boondocker is asking for us to send the box back again for them to test it out.
again has anyone else had, and solved this issue?
