Problems updating my RT1000 maping

I called paulson in lacey, wa ( my local dealer ) and asked about getting the mapping updated. They told my I was crazy and there was no changes to the mapping.

Is there a part number I need to give them for the mapping? I told him I wanted the 2007 middle elevation burn and it was like I was speaking a foreign language.

Is there another dealer around that any locals can think of that might do better?

So is it just the standard mapping update that they get from BRP? All he did was hook up the laptop and he said that the latest updates had been installed? but he had no idea of the name of the update. So do I assume that I have the 07 mid alt program?

The number for the '07 Mid-Altitude update is 420664618.

The first dealer i asked about it claimed to know nothing.. and then the second dealer i took it to seemed to know everthing.. and now that i got it done, its like a brand new sled.. no more bog... better throttle reponse and more power ( atleast it feels like more)... and to think i was trying to get rid of the sled.. not anymore!

Would your sled go from about 8000 RPMS to about 6500-7000 randomly? Mine has just started doing that and its driving me nuts. I have to call about the remap.

Any info you have would be appreciated. I'm at that point to scrap the thing, but its super fun when it runs!

Interesting my sled has just started doing the same thing , I am thinking either sticky rave valve or throttle sensor, It runs great 8k and then once in a while 7k is all I get and back and forth no rhyme nor reason, I took it in maybe they will find the reason will let you know if you want

Oh one more thing I already had the remap done last year, does run better till this started

There are a couple of things I would check one of them would be the erave cables and and also your spring maybe starting to go on you. First I would check the erave and cables and then move to the clutch, they dont call it a bouncing betty for no reason. Also make sure you are getting 12.5 volts from your battery. these sleds work funny when the battery is not charged. Just for fun do you have a fuel pressure gauge or the chevy fuel pump in it? They are also notorious for not running the propper fuel pressure making them do funny things. You will not have a pressure problem with the chevy fuel pump in there and they do not go out.

Clean raves all good, if your getting the RPM randomly not pulling and the thing sounds like its underwater, the rave valves arent opening.. mine used to do it randomly. cleaned the valves and it makes it happen way less.

I second the cleaning, mine would not pull over about 6,800 then cleaned the rave valves and the torque monster returned.

Do i need to add the egt sensor. I am prety sure it was added on the 06 and 07's. Mine is the 05. Also what altitude is considered mid altitude. Is there a high altitue map? Thanks
