Problem With TAPEX??? Oil problem???

I just took my tapex out this weekend at home and an oil line broke open and sprayed oil everywhere. Anyways after I fixed it I started it and it ran at idle for about 30seconds and shut off, but when I ride and it's not at idle it runs fine. It only happens at idle. Any ideas??? Code 30 is flashing. I think that's the code for oil pressure loss like I said it only happens when it's on idle.

Is the oil level fine? We see code 30 when the oil is low on the dipstick.

how did you fix it
mabey there is a obstruction and the sending unit is not seeing the right presuure and thats why you are setting the code
how did you break the line

How low is your RPM at idle.

We had one that idled so low that it did not built sufficient oil pressure at idle but once off idle never had a problem.

I have been told to run my idle between 1500 and 2000 RPM with a turbo.

Has the idle changed? Mine(07) idles at 1600-1700 when warm. Did you clear the code after the line broke? Did you let the sled run through its warm up cycle before checking the oil level? (check oil level with dipstick resting on oil tank not inserted)?

I have seen this as well. If you are running a BD kit and depending on the year of the install, you may need to add oil to just over the High mark to get enough in there. Once turbo'd you can't use the stock oil dipstick and expect it to read perfectly at the sensor. Keep filling up the sled with 1/4 of a quart and restarting to see if the 30 stops shutting the engine off. You have to wait between 10-12 seconds to find out, but eventually you'll find a point where the motor will keep running past the 10-12 second mark. You shouldn't have to clear the code if everything is working properly, the system will reset itself when you have the proper amount in the system.

Until I got my oil restrictor, I had to carry 1 qt. of oil with me at all times for just such a problem.
