Problem with my Pro

The other day I changed the spark plugs and belt in my Pro and when I went to start it, it wouldnt start. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong with it?

Is it getting fuel?

I always check the 3 basics and most of the time find it is one of the three. Spark, Fuel, Air.

Hmm.....

Did you try starting fluid/ether?

Even if starting fluid works there is still something wrong.. Now im curious.

Anyone else have an idea?

It has spark. Plugs are wet. You'd notice compression loss, and it would at least fire on a cylinder, what are the odds you'd lose both. If that's straight, could you have flooded it (never done it to a CFI, but I'm not a long-time poo owner). Did you pull the plugs, pull it over to clear the cylinders some, put the old dry plugs in, and try it? Hold the throttle/bodies wide open while you pulled 10-20 times? Or turned the key. Unless there was a massive timing slip, it should at least fire.

R2V sounds like he has it right..flooded, pull the plugs slap in fresh ones, and hold the throttle on the bar while pulling it over...(the fuel injection goes to a clear flood mode...) if that doesnt work..try this(works on the older CFI's, dont know about the new pro)shut off the key and kill switch, pull the sled over a half dozen times like you are trying to start it, then switch the key and kill switch to the run position and pull it a half dozen times....sometimes on the dragon 8's they would loose the charge on the capacitor..this recharges it...

Yeah, that happens to my 08D8 every once in awhile. My friend told me about pinning the throttle to the bar, and it fires on the first pull. It doesn't always do this, but its good to know how to get around it. He said it was something with the fuel injection. He's used this technique on his car too. I wonder what causes it?

....

We will be seeing more of this in the FALL.. or First Snow Fall..!!!

Knowing when to hold it to the bars.. is key.. Also when it is not needed..

You may Have something Drawing out of that circuit.. AKA.. Gps.. Still Pluged in.. , Heated Shield, Brake Switch/Parking Brake On..

Yes.. Over a Off Season This will Leak down.. But shouldn't be something you should be worrying about from day to day.. If so.. I would be replacing Capacitor..
