I have an 06 Apex with 06 mcx 310 kit, Had lots of upgrades this season, including valves. Had the mcx computer box remapped richer. The problem I have is not running good at low rpm's. Hard to start, doesn't idel until warm, even then hard to get going until up to 4000 rpm then seems to run fine, doesn't cut out, seems to have power. Running 15 lbs. boost with 114 oct. gas, as I always run. Sled run ok after warm up for 2 or 3 days, now it's hard to take off , have to keep burping the throttle until it will go. I tried changing thr Yamaha computer from 0 to -20, not making any diff. Went thru AF guage sensor every ride, 3 this year. Seemed to be OK maybe around 12 at idol and around 10 at wot. Would like one more ride this season if can get sled working. Cann't get to barometor sensor very easy but tried sucking on hose, didn't get any water. Any ideas anyone?

have you checked for a vacuum leak? Pressure test the system?....That sounds exaclty the same as when I lost my adjustment screw out of my BOV...it wouldn't idle or start worth a shat...but ran good other wise...the other question is did this start after all your up grades? Did you mess with the compression at all..that will effect things.... boots blow off the throttle bodies?

I don't think there is a leak, it builds boost rather quickly, had lots of leaks and throttle body boots blowing off last year. Quess I should check anyway.

whats your idle set at? step it up to1600 1650 then the box is controlling the fuel mapping if idle is too low the fuel map is controlled by the ecu and not your fuel controller. when you get on the throttle the box kicks in and takes a while to catch up to boost. higher idle allows the box to controll fuel settings. worth a shot, worked for me.

Hey ken this Todd give me a call at home. I think your running to much octane and if your going to run 15# of boost you should take your other fuel pump off

Check your TPS,kinda sounds like it,,,,also is this a sudden problem or has it been an issue since the head job?

Thanks for the replys, Sled didn't run well at low rpm after the repair job, First ride had a hard time starting and taking off ,just like now but after warming up seemed to run pretty good, until lately. Think it could be getting too much gas and fouling plugs at low rpm? I will try lowering octane.

I had some similar issues with mine. It turned out that the MCX box had some moisture in it. A little compressed air to blow out the moisture and it works much better.
