problem with attitude box installation

I haven't been able to get a hold of derrick, I am working on my 08 dragon turbo I got to the point to hook up to the temp sensor and it should have a tan and a pink wire on the box well I have a blue, red/blue, green, and white/green. the other wires were the same. I am suppose to leave tomarrow but I am stuck at this point. I don't really want to plug and play and fry the ecm. the extra wires are confusing me too. if any body has another number to get a hold of him or that can have him call me that would be great too

I know which wires on the sled to hook into, its the fuel controller that doesn't match. I am riding a different sled this weekend and ordered a controller from ovs. Making sure I don't miss 2 weekends with the my sled

The fuel controller wires will not match the colors on the sled. There are some wires that are the same color but doesn't mean you match the sled colors to the fuel controller colors. Please refer to the wire diagram in the PDF file. The OVS controller will be the same colors and wiring.

not to happy with attitude right now, I told derrick that I was leaving on thursday and he sent me the box no directions or anything. he said he would email me directions when I ordered it. looks like I got them friday night. the issue is that the directions you get off his website do not match the box he sent me. I know the colors on the box don't match the colors on the sled. But it sure would have been nice to know what wires on the box should go to which wires on the sled when you are installing it and leaving the next day. and of coarse he was already gone weds and thursday so I was SOL. thanks for trying to help but I still had to barrow a sled so I could take my kids sledding for there christmas weekend

I hooked it up last night but the red light does not light up like the directions say it should. If I don't here from derrick by weds. It will be pulled off and the ovs one will be going on it.

I hope the box works better than the instructions are written, someone must have been drunk when they did it because nothing is spelt right or makes much sense. It sucks when you get your turbo installed and then hit a brick wall trying to hook up some wires, due to crappy instructions.

ya it sucked. I was just trying to get mine going again and all fell apart with that controller, I am hoping it works out but who knows. I did email them to and told them they should read there directions because they kinda suck

I got mine to work. They told me on the dragon not to tap into the temp sensor. As well I just tied up the plug that has 2 wires in it, Justin said it is not used. Now just to get the numbers tuned in. Definatley a little more involved than the mcx apex that was standalone! Seems to pull good but hard to tell with minimal snow for testing.

I have a newer version, it uses 4 injectors and doesn't hook into the temp sensor. I ran it this weekend and it ran good

Did you get just the fuel controller from attitude or his turbo setup as well? I ordered a turbo from him in nov and still havent seen it yet. Always seems to have an excuse for why its not together yet.

I have a ovs kit that works great. I just had a fuel controller go bad and was in a hurry to get one and needed it in 2 days from when I called him so I ordered it. I also go one from ovs since I was not happy with derrick and wanted to make sure I got to ride the next weekend. If I had ordered a kit from someone in november and haven't got it yet I would get my money back and go elsewhere. there is alot of good kits out there and with the lack of snow in most places I would think you could get a deal

Moto5151 what kit are you waiting on? Is it for the 900? IF so you ordered a one off kit and its not something you can build over night!

I haven't hooked mine up yet and hope it goes better than this.. But does it say Gen 3.25 on box in small writing at bottom...you have the wrong directions and don't have to tap into temp sensor. The gen 3 instructions on the internet are not right.

The instructions that are posted towards the top of the thread will work for any Gen 3 or Gen 3.5 controller.

IF YOU HAVE A TAN & PINK with YELLOW STRIPE. This is meant to be hooked up to air temp sensor. IMO that is completely up to you. We here at dobeck have never needed to hook up to the air temp sensor on a dragon. I would tell you not do it.

What I find to be funny is alot of you get on here and Bash attitude "Derrik" and 90% of the time its operator error on the installers part and then there is others that don't even tell it like it is mott5151 ordered a turbo kit for a 900 Polaris from Derrik, he was in the middle of building the kit and motto5151 calls up ands say i totaled my sled can I have a kit for a Pro know and Derrik was kind enough to accommodate him and get it shipped off in a few days after he paid for it. Know that is customer service!

my only problem with derrick was that he did not give me or send me any directions for the box he sent me and they were not on the interenet and of coarse it was the week of christmas so I was stuck. but now I have it hooked up and it works good. It all worked out and I am over it and happy with what I got from him

If you didn't know Dobeck makes the boxes and Attitude and Ovs and a few other companies put there sticker on it but the most important part is the code that is written and programed in the box and Derrik is by far the best tuner around!

unfortunately the box I bought from derrick does not have instructions on the internet. it is a new box that is totally different then the previous box I had and what he has on his website
