Problem with 02 ford powerstroke

Anybody ever had this problem? Check engine light comes on and the thoattle quits working about 5 seconds later the goes out and thoattle starts working again. Does this sound like the postion sensor or maybe something else.

sounds like your gas pedal is getting ready to kick the bucket, I think there about 120 from the dealer. They are a dealer only part

haven't checked codes yet didn't if there was anyway to get them with out going to the dealer.

ive got the 02 and havent seen that one. check the codes

could be the the camshaft position sensor starting to go out. Lots of times the are intermittent before they actually die.

I have an 02 super duty and ford replaced mine it was a recall or update you may want to check into that

its the electronics on the gas pedal assembly, I just replaced mine and it cost 527.00 list price was over 8 hun, but I had adjustable pedals which cost more.

Pull the throttle out and replace it with one from a Toyota LOL

Sounds like a cam sensor or possibly the throttle pedal assemby as the other people have already stated..I am a Ford tech and seen many of these with that concern, and usually comes down to one of those problems..Ford does have a recall on the cam sensors, so get your Ford garage to check your vin# and go from there

Well I hope its going to the pedal since thats what I ordered the dealer dosen't stock it. The code was a 212 I believe relating to the pedal we shall see soon.
