pro vs standard 14

I just wanted to check with you guys since I'm highly confused with all the new stuff out there these days. The 2014 standard rmk 800 155, is essentially the same as a 2012 pro 800 155 minus the protapers and plus the extra cooler and controls on the handlebars right?

What I'm trying to do is avoid the carbon fiber frame and the belt drive, while adding better cooling.

Do I have this right?

For the most part yes. Additional, WE Shocks, lighter cross shaft and lightweight brake rotor. 13 and 14 year model RMKs have better running boards than the 12 PROS

I had a 2011 standard rmk 800 1400 miles no issues. Now have a 2013 pro 800 rmk 600 miles with no issues, but hate to have to look at temperatures rising up to 170 degrees on and off trail even with the scratchers down. Don"t get me wrong, still like the performance of the pro.

Thank you Mountainhorse, that is exactly the kind of info I am wanting to know. Looks like a standard rmk 800 is in the works for us to go with our 12 pro that we love.

Yep, totally agree owned both rmk more fore less. A good dealer uses the book when I trade end up just as well off with the rmk. Apples to apples done both..............

ES for sure! The thing that is holding me back is it's not offered in the 163,only on the Pro and there are some good deals on the 13s
