Pro throttle cable

Took my 11 Pro in for the oil line recall, and they fond my throttle cable was all most broke, Just wondering if any one has had the same problem ? I have not done any thing to cause it, I did tape up the wires that go up to the bars as seen last year on another post, have inspected the areas that could wear and have never seen any thing, hope it was just bad from the factory.

Throttle Cable

No pics, the sled is at the dealer they called me yesterday about it, I asked them if they new the reason, and they don't have a clue had to order the cable so will not get a chance to see the old one till Tue.

Did they tell you where it was broke at?

No, I did not get a chance to talk to the mechanic, will find out on Tue and try to post some picks, I do not think it is in a place easy to see or I would have notice it.

oil line recall? I've got an 011 assault and haven't heard anything about this.

Most of the 11 PRO'S, or at least the one's I know have a recall on the oil line to tie it over so it won't rub on the bulkhead or get kinked.
On the throttle cable, I got a chance to look at my old one and it had about half the wire's come out of the end piece that hooks to the thumb lever, they were not out so you can see them, it was an accident that the mechanic seen them,
he had the sled up on a stand and just happen to look up at it just right and the light caused him to see something shinny, he said it was just pure luck, and that it must of been bad to start with.He said they have not seen any other one's but will start looking harder at all sleds.
I all most did not take my sled in for the recall as I had all ready tied my line over with some zip ties to the torque arm, but decided to go ahead in case of warranty issues, good thing I did.
