Pro Spindles into a 2008 IQ chassis

I have the 2008 Shift 155 and my question is will the spindles from a 2012-2014 Pro fit into my 2008 IQ Shift 155 since the part numbers for the arms differ from RMK to the Dragon. From another thread, I understand the rear suspension from the 2012-2014 Pro should swap right in and only require drilling the mounting holes out to 10mm and getting correct metric suspension bolts.

I have not done it with an IQ, but all my IQR's are running the PRO spindles and I have seen a few PRO's sporting IQ spindles. So my guess would be they will interchange. There may be some minor geometry differences but I think any of them will interchange. JMO

yes i run the pro spindles on my 05 rmk 900 (IQ chassis) and its bomb...minor work required to use them.

Here is the skinny on the differences. Same extrusion, same machining, only difference is the plastic instead of bronze bushing for the ski pivot.

Loudhandle do you know if the 07 dragon spindles have different geometry than the 10 dragon I no they look different got a buddy that says his 10 turners better than his 07 and he wants to put on 10 spindles, and not sure if that's where the difference is

Tinker,
I wish I had an answer for you, but I missed the entire IQ generation due to pressing family matters.

heres my thoughts. im sure its not "exact" just from riding many sleds and getting a feel

05-terrible
06-better then 05, still terrible
07/08-worked decent
09/10-were alot better then most and same geometry as the HOLZ
11/12/13-like the HOLZ but better...and were best overall IMO
14-no idea

i wouldnt get anything other then HOLZ, 09-up...but if you get a steal on PRO spindles, i would take it over any others.

It's my understanding that the IQ spindles changed dramatically for the better in 08 and that the PRO spindles have been further refined. From another post, one of the guys was saying that going with the PRO spindles and rear suspension into his Dragon made it get up o the snow almost as well as the PRO but without the expense of the PRO. What I've been trying to figure out is if that whole set up would bolt right into the non-Dragon IQ chassis. Do know that rear suspension bolts are 10mm rather than 3/8" and would require drilling existing holes to correct size
