PRO Snow Check-Pick up Time ?

Have a friend who checked a black Pro, Dealer called and told him he had 2 weeks to do financing or he would lose the sled. Dose that sound right ?

I'm sure dealers have been burned a few times with guys who wanted sleds but never came through with the funds. I'm sure my dealer would have given me more time but they need to move those sleds while the sales are hot.

sounds right to me. The dealership has already taken delivery of the sled so they have already started to pay for it. 2 weeks seems like it should be more than enough time especially since Polaris is offering their own financing.

I understand that, but they know this guy is good for it and it sounds like they are telling everyone the same thing, they said it was because they would have a floor charge after two weeks. just did not sound right to me, my dealer has never done this with me.

?the dealer

he has had since April till now so 2 weeks sounds right. My sled was held at my dealer for 5 weeks for me but thats cause they like me

The 2 week floor charge is 100% accurate. Once he has it for 2 weeks the dealer has to start paying for it so tell your bud he needs to get off his butt and pay the dealer or arrange financing. Your buddy has had 6 months to either get all the cash togther or arrange financing. Why should the dealer have to wait for him?

.

If you spring check you shouldn't really be surprised that you have a debt to the dealer, regardless of time/floor fee's etc. That, and the PRO RMK is a hot Item currently, and there's probably a standby list of individuals with cash in hand that didn't spring check.

If its right then OK, was just checking to see if this is what is normal, had not heard of it before and I have check a lot sleds, but I have also picked them up when the dealer called so I guess I just missed it. My friend just did not think it would come in this fast, he had been told last spring that it would not be here till the end of Oct or the first part of Nov. I guess he will have to just try and go get it a little sooner than planed. As for mine that I checked it is in and my dealer told me they won't try to put it together till next week some time, which is more than two weeks after it came in, but not by much.

Not true. Read the SnowCheck purchase agreement. It clearly states on there that you should pick up the sled in 45 days after being notified.
But you can't blame the dealer for wanting to get paid either. We all go to work for that same reason.
But to make everyone happy. Get the 12 month free financing that comes with the SnowCheck offer. Pay the dealer, and tell them it will be picked up as soon as possible. That should make everybody happy. Now you have 12 months to shop around to secure financing, interest free!

Two weeks! Heck, at this point I would have it paid for and on my trailer in two hours let alone two weeks! I can barely contain myself waiting for that phone call. Like everyone else said, we all know our responsibilities to our dealer once the call comes in.

The dealers have 45 days from when the sled leaves the factory before they have to start to pay flooring. So 3-4 weeks from when they actually get it, depending on shipping. I can understand they don't want to pay flooring, but untill Polaris can give us an EXACT delivery date beforehand and not just a range of between September and December, they need to chill. Some of us pay cash for these things, and having the right amount on hand with a couple week's notice when we have NO clue as to even what month the sled is coming is just silly.
If dealers are being nasty about it (and I have seen several on SW doing just that), then just keep it in mind when buying next time.
And with "flooring" being such a nasty word: What you think they are paying on every other sled that is sitting on the showroom floor or in crates in the back waiting for a buyer?
Dealers being jerks about pickup times isn't going to help them in the long run.
My dealer hinted around that he would like me to get it paid so he doesn't have to pay flooring on mine, it came way earlier than I anticipated as far as cash on hand, so he has helped get financing all squared away for me, but no demands or anything like that.
Lots of dealers out there, no reason to give money to the ones that don't earn it!

Yep, exactly!

Let me get this straight. Your buddy checked a sled and it's ready to be picked up and he's not anxious to go pick it up?!!! Man I remember soon as my dealer called me I went there the following day to pick up my sleds! My dealer never told me u have 2 weeks or it's gone.

Last year I was notified in August so I bet it is close to 45 days.

All BS aside, you won't lose your sled if you don't pick it up within two weeks of being notified. If any dealer tells you that, he/she is being untruthful.:face-icon-small-con
Read your SnowCheck purchase agreement. Your dealer has to abide by it.
Every time I have purchased a new Polaris sled. I have received, in the mail, a survey on the dealer I purchased the sled from. Let them know what you think.
In a civilized manner. :face-icon-small-win

I like my dealer so if it helps them, then I try to do whatever I can. They help me when they can with getting the best price or putting things on, etc. I think they get job satisfaction of having satisfied customers that enjoy their products and work. It is that kind of relationship that is still available in very few retail sales anymore. Oh yea, come on call :face-icon-small-ton

sled

Only the real big dealers get the $200 dollars a unit if it is paid right away, and yes on the snowchecks all dealers start to pay interest almost right after they come in so that is the main reason to get them out the door!

Ask my Dealer about it today and he said they have till Nov 1st on all SnowCheck sleds shipped after August 15th, and on Nov 2nd they will start to be charged. So the
two week thing might be true, so that the dealer would have a week left to move the sled before charges would start.
