Wow, yeah, he pushed the limit. That was probably more a matter of when rather than if. Sad though. He dropped a cliff at alta over 200ft. or something recently. Unfortunately, another reminder to be careful this year.

A guy that works for me used to ski with him all the time. (He's to broken up to ski much anymore,literally broken). He was there when Jamie made the world record jump, crazy dude. The reason his record was broken is the new record holder went off the cliff at the wrong spot, the helicopter tried to call him off. After they DUG him out, "Dude I think you just broke the record". Crazy skiers and boarders.

Doesn't sound like they had avy gear.

Be careful out there.

Doesn't sound like it mattered, getting strained over rocks and cliffs lessens the odds a bit.

Jamie was a friend of mine. I Would often spend afternoons shuttling him up the mountain and watch him shred the cliffs and throw sick lines down the back side of alta. A crazy cat for sure, he will be missed by many.

One of my favorite memories was watching them hit a cliff several times, then telling him to sit back and watch how its done... then reminding him the next few times I saw him how i out jumped him, lol... memories i will cherish forever.
